Communities Can Thrive Without Any Police at All
Some people think that we could get along just fine without any police at all & they believe that if everyone looked out for each other, our neighborhoods would become better. They argue in favor of community support and self-regulation. According to this view, we could handle issues ourselves because mutual aid would replace law enforcement and believers argue this would help us all.
Defunding Might Boost Private Security Companies
There are also those who believe that reducing police funding could help private security companies. With fewer public officers on the streets, people might hire private firms to keep them safe—which might mean only those with enough money get proper protection.
